I am presently working as assistant professor in Lady Irwin College, Department of Fabric and Apparel
Science, Delhi University. I was a visiting faculty member with Mata Sundri College, Delhi University and private institutes from 2005-2009.
The subjects taught during years of teaching are Textile Science, Textile Design, Indian Traditional Textiles,
Dyeing and Printing, Pattern Making, Clothing Construction and Grading.
I am also empanelled as designer in Textiles and Clothing with the Office of the
Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) in October 2013.
I have joined Ph.D programme in Fabric and Apparel Science, Department of Home science,
Lady Irwin College, Delhi University in August' 2009 on thesis title 'Capacity Building of Artisans for
the Sustenance of Traditional Chamba Embroidery'. Thesis was submitted in Feburary'2014.
Research paper was published in International Science Congress Association titled Chamba Embroidery: Stitch Analysis of Traditional
Technique on 27th July 2014. Other paper is in review process by Nirmala Niketan College of Home Science.
I am also working on publication of book on Chamba Embroidery
Four papers were presented during course of research work.

Nirmala Niketan College of Home Science, Mumbai, University of Mumbai.
At 30th biennial conference of Home Science Association of India (HSAI),
100 years of Home Science: Retrospect and Prospects from 19th -21st December 2013 organized by HSAI at Faculty of Family and
Community Sciences, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodra.
At Textile and Clothing Research Center Study Group meeting at National Museum on 28th May 2014.
At event of Traditional Miniature Painting Workshop organized by
International Roerich Memorial Trust Kullu in collaboration with Shilp Parishad of Chamba on 10 June'2014.
Associated with Delhi Crafts Council for six years as designer and coordinator on revival project with on Chamba embroidery,
Himachal Pradesh from 2007- 2013. The scope of work included field visits to Chamba, coordinating workshops with artisans
for skill upgradation and development of new products for exhibitions.
Two National level and International level exhibitions were organized which were supported by Delhi Crafts Council.
Raas exhibition at
Indira Gandhi National Center for Arts, New Delhi, from 30th March 2010 31st April 2010.
Chamba rumal exhibition at Forum Art Gallery
during World Crafts Council General Assembly Kaivalam- A world crafts summit held in Chennai
from 28th September 10th October 2012.
In the exhibitions, new developments along with reproduction of museum pieces of Chamba embroidery were displayed.
Number of workshops was coordinated with the artisans during the course of research work. They were also supported by Delhi Crafts council. The workshops were carried to upgrade the existing skills of the artisans for the sustenance of traditional craft of Chamba embroidery.
As a part of M.Sc. Textiles and Clothing, seminar on Brand Magic...The Future of Retailing was presented at Lady Irwin College, New Delhi.
As a part of M.Sc. Textiles and Clothing, dissertation on Development of UV Resistant Polyester- Cotton Blended Fabric was carried out in North India Textile Research Association (NITRA), Ghaziabad and Lady Irwin College, New Delhi.
